The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is a new global fund created to support the efforts of developing countries to respond to the challenge of climate change. GCF helps developing countries limit or reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to climate change.

Evenimentul a fost organizat sub președinția Guvernului Chile cu suportul logistic al Guvernului Spaniei. Președintele conferinței fiind Carolina Schmidt, ministrul Mediului din Chile.

Evenimentul public cu tematica "Noua viziune a Republicii Moldova privind guvernarea de mediu", a fost organizat de Ministerul Agriculturii, Dezvoltării Regionale și mediului cu suportul Oficiului Schimbarea Climei, în cadrul proiectului "Suport pentru Republica Moldova în stabilirea şi fortificarea Autorității Naționale Desemnate, elaborarea cadrului strategic şi dezvoltarea programului național de angajare cu Fondul Verde pentru Climă (FVC)".
